food bloggers have hundreds of thousands of followers, who can positively influence a newly launched or existing brand. Media are working more and more with bloggers, so there is a strong need for a meeting platform to acquire knowledge and make contacts. Food brands are also working more with food bloggers, creating an online community around their brands; and feeding this community with foodie news and information.”

AN EXCITING CHAPTER Free From/Functional Food Expo is a unique trade platform for free from, and functional food, drink and ingredients. Now in its fourth year - the event has doubled in size. It features more than 220

SEGGIANO BALSAMICS

l Salads and marinades can be dull without the sweet and sour tang of balsamic vinegar. Renouncing additives, sulphites, colouring and thickeners, Seggiano is committed to bringing you naturally delicious organic vinegars of Modena, the birthplace of balsamic vinegar. Legislation for balsamic vinegar

of Modena and its labelling, result in a fairly even playing field for producers, who have to follow strictly enforced guidelines for both production, provenance of the grapes and telling the public what is in the bottle. With standards like this in place, at least the public can judge value for money. Regulations permit E150 caramel to colour balsamic vinegar and most

vinegars contain added sulphites, so Seggiano Matured Balsamic vinegars of Modena stand out, not only for their exceptional flavour balance and quality, denoted also by the award of 4 Leaf status for quality, but for using natural methods and organic grapes. The Seggiano Aged Balsamic is

thicker, sweeter and more aromatic than the Matured Balsamic due to a longer ageing period in wooden barrels. Its dark colour, sweetness, density and harmony of flavours mark it as a vinegar of authentic quality and a larder essential. Seggiano also sells two organic sulphite free balsamic glazes for the home chef: Seggiano Super Dense Balsamic Glaze is naturally

dense without thickeners and perfect for presentation whilst the Chilli Balsamic Glaze is hot and sweet and just the ticket for a spicy meat marinade.

Director, said: “The convention adds another dimension to an already packed schedule of events at this year’s Free From/ Functional Food Expo. Add to that more exhibitors than ever before - makes this a must-visit show for producers, suppliers, buyers - and now bloggers.”
