PIPERS CRISPS TEAMS UP WITH CATZERO l Pipers Crisps are proud to announce they’ll be teaming-up with award-
winning local charity CatZero. Pipers will provide both financial and practical support to the charity which helps young people who, for reasons such as broken homes, drugs, crime or abuse, have become NEETs (Not in Education, Employment
or Training). Alex Albone, founder of Pipers Crisps, explains why they chose to support this particular charity. “I recently met a young
man whose life chances were completely turned around by CatZero. He told me the charity had “literally saved my life”, by giving him the life-skills and self- respect he had previously lacked. He now feels he can be a useful member of society, rather than a burden to it. After hearing his story I felt we had to get involved;

to help as many similar young people as possible to turn around their lives.” “I’ve been asked why we
would want to associate with, let alone become involved in, such an ‘edgy’ charity; one that’s working with some of the most difficult to reach young people. For me, that’s precisely why it’s just the charity for Pipers Crisps to support; it’s not mainstream, we can make a real difference to people’s lives and we can offer help in many ways.” Pipers Crisps will support
CatZero throughout the coming year, beginning with financial support - a one-off donation plus profits from sales of Pipers’ exclusive deckchairs - and continuing with more practical support. This will help the charity deliver their youth development programmes in which participants follow personal
action plans, completing tasks and learning personal skills. These may be as basic as cooking for themselves as well as more targeted life-skills such as preparing for interviews and giving presentations.

CHOBANI FOUNDER GIFTS EMPLOYEES SHARES ‘WORTH AT LEAST $300M’ l The founder of US yogurt manufacturer Chobani has gifted more than 2,000 of its employees a stake amounting to 10% of the company. The initiative, which will take effect when the company is publicly listed or sold, will take into account each individual employees’ length of service. For some, it could mean a windfall running into the millions of dollars – and, even according to conservative estimates of the company’s value, could result in an average payout of $150,000 each. Chobani already donates 10% of its annual profits to charity and its founder, Hamdi Ulukaya, previously donated $700 million of his personal fortune to Syrian refugees.
