It was a great alternative particularly
at lunchtime - really refreshing and almost like a non-alcoholic cider.” On bringing the idea to the UK and launching the brand Alistair comments “The emergence of small food and drink producers along with the delis and farm shops that enable them to reach a wider audience has led to unprecedented interest in new and different products. Our aim is to add some extra sparkle to the category with products that look as good as they taste.” Ingredients have been chosen with
great care, Alistair says. “In the case of our Apple flavour, we have added a touch of complexity with extracts of gentian and green tea. The gentian gives a slightly bitter note and the green tea adds to the dryness. For Ginger we use a very natural ginger flavour that adds just the right amount of spice. It’s different from a ginger beer, there’s some heat along with the apple but it’s not going to
knock your socks off. With Mint, it’s all about an aromatic, grassy garden mint flavour reminiscent of a freshly prepared cocktail like a Mojito - perfect in the sunshine!” l
