SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Instead of doing a normal fashion piece on “Spring Trends” extolling color or florals, I’ve decided to do something a bit different. April is The Rage Monthly’s annual art issue, so, I’m going to pick my fave designers who create clothing that is art...Designs that are not only wearable, but are collectable. They mix design with color, fabrics and innovation to create clothes that truly inspire.

HAIDER ACKERMAN Perhaps it’s having been born in Colombia, adopted by French parents and living all over the globe that gives Ackerman his unique design perspective. Every season is a mix of shapes, prints, fabrics and always color. Spring ‘16 is no differ- ent! It’s pinstripes, leather, lurex and animal prints tossed together and yet somehow, it works!

ANTONIO MARRAS

Shorts? Check! Cropped pants with an exaggerated cuff? Check! A chic, simple palette of blues, cream, olive and a hint of red? Yes! The

coolest prints and reworked shapes in denim?! Absolutely! If you aren’t wearing cropped pants Spring and Summer ‘16 trust me, you will be Summer ‘17. This is one of those

collections Topman, Zara and H&M are knocking off as we speak!
