National Charity League, Inc. -
Temecula Valley Chapter Helps Bring Joy to Camp Pendleton’s Expecting Parents Fifty members of the National Charity League, Inc. Temecula Valley
chapter arrived at Camp Pendleton Saturday January 30th to volunteer for Service from the Heart-a military baby shower for expecting parents. In it’s fifth year, NCL, Inc. and MOM4USA- Military Outreach Min-
istry have come together to co-host this event to help raise baby items for our military families and create a fun and festive way to celebrate. Sherrie Ormiston who is the Temecula Valley’s liaison to Service from the Heart, knows all too well the struggles of military expectant parents. “Many of these expectant parents have their loved one deployed over- seas and or have no family close by. It’s a great way for us to show our support and help them celebrate a new coming baby.” The Temecula Valley chapter alone raised 200 baby towels, wash
clothes, 70 baby shampoo, baby wash and baby wipes to hand out while the festivities were in full swing. Mothers and daughters manned carnival themed games and visited with Pendleton families who came to enjoy the festivities. Other NCL chapters from the San Diego area were there handing out their raised baby items, allowing each family to walk away with a fair amount of needed baby items. National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) is a non-profit organization
which fosters the mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic or- ganization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. For more information about the NCL, Inc. Temecula Valley Chapter, including a complete list of local philanthropies served, please visit
