The Temecula Valley Elks hosted a dinner for their Drug Awareness Con-
test winners recently at the Lodge. The winners, their parents, and their teachers were invited to attend the dinner and Award Presentations. Stu- dents from the Murrieta and Temecula Schools, both public schools and pri- vate schools were invited to participate in the various contests. There were three contests – a poster contest for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade
students, an essay contest for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and a video contest for Pre-High School, High School and Post Graduate Students (in- dividuals or groups). The topic for the contests was “Just Don’t Do It.” First, Second and Third place prizes were awarded to the students in each of the three contests. The top three winners in the Poster Contest received a $25, $15 and $10 gift card from Barnes and Noble Book Store. The top three winners in the Essay Contest and the Video Contest each received a $35, $25 and $15 gift card from Barnes and Noble Book Store.
