Rubys


Of the 47 young people who stayed at a Rubys house, almost 80% went into suitable housing after leaving the program. We also assisted 143 young people with emergency accommodation, a new initiative in 2014-15.

Specialised Family Violence


[ ‘ My partner] has done so well to modify his behaviours and the girls and I are no longer afraid of him. I am very grateful to Uniting Communities for counselling us through an extremely challenging year. I’m certain that [my partner] will continue to grow and transform, and the men’s group has been pivotal in this change.’


Residential Aged Care


We welcomed 62 new people to our Murray Mudge and Aldersgate residential facilities.


Community Aged Care


Close to 68% of new clients for our Community Aged Care home support services accessed specialist multicultural support.


Streetlink


Streetlink’s medical service recorded over 1000 client contacts, providing for young people with diverse health needs. Streetlink is a clinical health service for young people aged 12-25 years (and their children) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.


“When I was homeless I was on the streets in the city. If Streetlink wasn't in the city I would have had nowhere safe to go. The people at Streetlink are kind, they're different. They don't make you feel judged.”
