Aboriginal Community Connect
"I can’t praise Aboriginal Community Connect enough – their support has been phenomenal. I wouldn’t last so long off the drugs without their encouragement and support."Towards
Carbon Neutral
Our efforts to reduce carbon emissions continued this year, especially in energy and fleet vehicle fuel which achieved 4% and 5% reductions respectively.
The fleet is now 57% diesel electric and 100% carbon offset through CMI Toyota’s native biodiverse vegetation offsets, as are our stationery purchases from Lyreco International and copy paper from Fuji Zerox. Overall, Uniting Communities achieved a carbon reduction of 2%.
Lifeline
Lifeline Adelaide answered 34,407 calls – an average of 94 calls every day. “Thank you and remember you saved a life tonight”.
Regional Assessment Service (RAS)
In early 2015, we successfully tendered to provide the Federal Government’s Regional Assessment Service. Uniting Communities is now working extensively in country and rural South Australia to assess older people seeking aged care support in the home.
