‘Wafer’ UV System Launch Is A Resounding Success
The launch of atg UV Technology’s WF range, known as the ‘Wafer’ due to its ultra- compact footprint, was a complete success at the recent Piscina & Wellness Barcelona Exhibition held in October. With orders already being placed, the innovative new design received huge interest, not just from the European swimming pool sector, but also from countries further afield including China, Japan, UAE, North America and Australia.
Whilst the WF range is around a third of the size of comparative UV systems, its hydraulically optimised reactor design and leading lamp technology will also make it one of the most efficient and best performing on the market. As a minimum, the WF range will provide a 99.9% reduction of chlorine resistant microorganisms, such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. With significantly reduced maintenance space, the
WF series promises to offer easy to install and retrofit solutions, that will fit the tightest of plant rooms.
Featuring four models in the range, in single lamp and twin lamp configurations, the WF series is suitable for swimming pool flow rates of 5 m3
/hr up to 250 m3 /hr. As with
atg UV’s ECL and SX ranges, the WF range will include UV Intensity Monitoring, Over Temperature Control, Automatic Cleaning Systems and Enhanced Safety Quick Release Twistlok™ UV Lamps.
Operators will also benefit from the inclusion of atg UV’s premium SPECTRA II control system as standard, which includes a wide range of features such as data stream monitoring, process interlocks and programmable set points. existing Mammut Gel Cover and Mammut Gel Cover 6 from Raytech that enables IP68 protection against water, dust and insects to fit inside enclosures.
Perfect protection is achieved by displacing the pre-filled gel and snapping the cover shut – no tools are required and submersion is possible.
The ‘Isaac’ is suitable for two or three pole connectors and the ‘Pascal’ for five pole connectors. Being universal they are compatible with all makes and are far more cost effective than traditional pouring gels.
