Over 100 bikes from the Costa Blanca España Biker Group (Moteros C. Costa Blanca), with the riders dressed as santas, took part in the annual Toy Run through Alfaz, Albir and Benidorm, ending up at Alfaz del Pi Sports centre.
The group had once again raised money to buy a special Christmas present for each child from the EMAÚS children's homes and those put forward by Alfaz social services.
Whilst they were enjoying their run the children were enjoying face painting, a magic show, a disco and two bouncy castles (even Winnie the Pooh made an appearance!) with hot chocolate, cakes and mulled wine for the adults. Tony and Lucy along with the warriors from Make a Smile decked the sports hall with Christmas trees and lights.
On arrival of the bikes, which was a spectacle in itself, the santas each gave a present to one of the children along with a speech from the Concejal de Deporte of Alfaz Del Pi. Steven Gill and a group of Make a Smile helpers handed out burgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings. A great fun day for the children, the bikers and volunteers alike, all proving to much for our own junior warrior.
