Jávea Players: The Players 40th Anniversary production will be Roger Brown’s production of ‘‘Robert Harl i ng’s Ste e l Magnolias’. Rehearsals start this month. The stage of Javea Players’ Studio Theatre will


become Truvy’s Beauty Parlour in Louisiana from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th April where six Southern ladies shield themselves when tragedy strikes, with love, support for each other and with witty and sparkling exchanges about the daily trivia of their lives. The result is a moving comedy – strong and very emotive but very often hilarious.

Sounds Familiar: The Company are busy rehearsing their new musical, ‘Let’s Face The Music’ featuring the music of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern. Stagestruck: After receiving excellent reviews for their ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Pantomime, Stagestruck are busy organising auditions for the summer show written by Leigh Humphries. Rojales Pantomime Group: ‘Humpty, Dumpty’ is about to make a big fall at Escuela de Musica y Cultura in Los Montesinos, but not to worry, he has magical powers and is going to put them to good use in nursery rhyme land with the help of Mother Goose. Dates are Thursday and Friday evenings, January 14th and 15th starting at 7.30pm with a matinee on Saturday 16th at 2.30pm. Tickets 7 Euros adults, 5 Euros children.
