Humpty is coming to town
Humpty, Dumpty is about to make a BIG FALL in Los Montesinos, when the Rojales Pantomime group hold their annual pantomime at El Escuela de Musica y Cultura Los Motesinos, but not to worry he has magical powers and is going to put them to good use in Nursery Rhyme Land with
the help of Mother Goose. Humpty will be played by their youngest member Taylor Knightsbridge, only 15 and his real life Mother Sonia Knightsbridge will be Mother Goose. Susan Bradford has never been on stage before but has thrown all she has into the part of “Tommy Tittlemouse”. Thelma Judson has been with the group for some time and is enjoying the part of “Jack Spratt”. Jackie Reed and Pam Derbyshire are “Mary Quite Contrary and Polly Flinders”. Once again Cyril Derbyshire will play the King and Lynden B plays “Dame Dobb”. Lynden is no stranger to the stage and is well known on the Costa Blanca, he played one of the ugly sisters in “Cinderella” last year. Michele Martin plays a very convincing baddy as “Grimm” servant to the sorcerer “Monstro” (Peter Blackburn). As usual there are a couple of dim wits as guards and not to be forgotten are the back stage crew who work tirelessly on making props, building and painting of scenery and making costumes which all adds up to the making of a fun pantomime. Dates are Thursday and Friday evening January 14th and 15th starting at 7,30pm with a matinee on Saturday 16th at 2.30pm. They will be joined by girls from The Carmen Lorete dance school of Los Montesinos. Tickets 7 Euros for adults and 5 Euros for children. Each year the money raised is given to various charities in the communities of Rojales and Los Montesinos. Contact 966 712 829 or 678 212 034 for ticket information. Website

Choir finishes season with two memorable church
Christmas concerts The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir finished their Christmas programme with 2
outstanding concerts firstly at the awe inspiring San Bartolome Church in Javea Pueblo where the Choir sang many traditional Christmas pieces, plus the community carols which the audience appreciated. A wide range of seasonal music including the newly formed Choir quartet and trio added a diversity to the evening. The Choir was fortunate to have the Mayor of Javea, Jose Chulvi, join them who give an opening address wishing the choir well. The final concert was at the intimate and beautiful surroundings of Benitachell Church where the acoustics helped the Choir give an outstanding performance which led to a standing ovation. Rehearsals are at Bar Medditerraneo, Teulada, on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm, commencing Tuesday 12th January. It will be an exciting season with a tour to Barcelona and visits from Choirs from Baisinstoke and Wales joining them during the year. Details will be on the website:
