Every one of the UK attendance allowance applications we put forward in 2015 was successful... are you or your loved one entitled to it too?
Regular Female Focus readers may recall that back in March 2015 Parasol Care Centre explained how UK attendance allowance is claimable by all British subjects over 65, who have been incapacitated for a period of 6 months or more, even if they now live permanently here in Spain. Yes, various criteria apply and it is paid at 2 different rates and how much you will receive depends on the level of assistance required to live independently. At the present time Attendance Allowance is NOT currently means tested.
As a result of that campaign last Spring Parasol Care Centre made a considerable number of applications for persons who contacted them. Each and every application they put forward was successful, and in some cases a ‘backpay’ was even achieved.

www.gov.uk/attendance-allowance/eligibility but you might agree with us that the web pages are hard to follow. The application form is likewise hard to follow, and at 52 pages (yes FIFTY TWO pages) long it is a lot to understand and complete.

Attendance Allowance does NOT have to be used solely for care provision. It is a payment that can be used towards anything, to maintain independence. For example, if you can no longer drive you could put it towards having a weekly taxi to take you into town to do your shopping, a cleaner, or if you can no longer manage your garden you could put it towards the cost of having a gardener.

As well as offering practical assistance to enable clients to continue living in their own homes, we also offer a whole variety of services based here at our Care Centre. Chiropody, lymphatic drainage massage, general massage, hearing evaluations and hearing aid spares and repairs.
Group sessions are available for a variety of conditions such as Heart Disease, Parkinson’s and Diabetes. Nutritional drinks, supplements, gels and teas available too.
Products are available at Parasol to make life easier for anyone facing difficulties. In addition to their sale, we can offer rentals of rollators, scooters, wheelchairs and other equipment.
