Page 17 Orange Street Fair is this weekend It’s that time of year when Old Towne Orange turns

into a bustling sea of humanity. The annual International Street Fair offers food and drink, provided by numerous school, community and non profit groups, as well as lo- cal companies. Come and mingle in a festive atmosphere

and sample traditional food from 16 countries, includ- ing Greece, Japan, Norway, Ireland, Mexico, Denmark, Australia and Germany while enjoying live music and entertainment. Artisans will offer a wide variety of items, and a street with games and crafts will be dedicated for

kids. All roads within a block of the plaza will be closed to traffic, and parking can be a challenge. The fair will be open Friday, Sept. 4 from 5 – 10 p.m.; Saturday, 5th from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 6th from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

A colorful mural greets new and returning Villa Park High School instrumental music students. Junior Blake Rambo (right) volunteered hours of his summer vacation to paint a bold collage outside the entrance to the band room. The mural features two aspects of the school’s award-winning music program: a vibrant jazz ensemble scene juxtaposed with a football stadium depicting the dynamic Marchin’ Spartans and color guard.
