Judges’ Shortlist Xeretec – Steve Hawkins: Hawkins is the owner and group MD of Wokingham-based Xeretec Office Systems, founded in 1989 and now a leading UK document technology provider. Having rapidly progressed within Xerox since a university career placement in 1994, Hawkins became the owner of Xeretec Office Systems – the largest Xerox channel partner– in 2005. Through delivery of efficient and cost-effective customer solutions, he has led Xeretec to achieve continuing fast growth and Xerox’s highest accolade of ‘Partner of the Year’ on several occasions.
Westcoast – Duncan Forsyth: Forsyth has been a director at Westcoast since 1994, having previously worked for PwC. Having been Westcoast’s MD for UK & Ireland, Forsyth moved to a Group MD role in January 2014. Reading-based Westcoast was founded in 1984 and has grown to become the number one UK distributor for many global vendors across the IT consumable, software and electrical spectrum. Westcoast’s income has increased sharply over the past decade with yearly revenues now well above £1 billion.
Ridgeway – John O’Hanlon: O’Hanlon has led the Newbury-based Ridgeway Group as CEO for more than 18 years. Previously he was motor retail manager for Grant Thornton. Ridgeway is now one of the Top 20 largest motor retail groups in the UK, following continual growth and expansion, focused on major premium quality consumer and commercial motor marques. It was named Motor Trader 'Dealer Group of the Year' in 2012.
InstaGroup – David Robson: Robson has been with Finchampstead- based InstaGroup for over 10 years and MD for the past four. Previously

he had worked in the telecoms sector, at the Home Office, and served a year as policy manager in the office of the deputy prime minister (John Prescott). While Instagroup is a specialist in insulation energy-efficiency, Robson has also helped make it one of the UK’s leading providers of high performance sound insulation.

. . . recently opened his company’s new office in London’s EC3 to serve City businesses, and he now owns Xerox’s largest reseller in western Europe. His name: Steve Hawkins.
Thames Valley 250 update
Farol Holdings, the Thame-based company, had a turnover of £68.6 million in the year ending January 31, 2015, compared with £63.7m for the previous year.
Employee numbers are now at 173. A family business established in 1976, Farol is a major retailer of new and used agricultural tractors and other machinery.
