Intersurgical: With more than 30 years specialist experience, Wokingham-based Intersurgical is Europe’s leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of innovative yet cost- effective medical devices for respiratory support, primarily within the hospital environment but also the home.
W Lucy & Co: Began as an Oxford ironmonger’s in 1812. Today it is an international group comprising four diverse business units broadly covering electrical switchgear, metal castings, real estate and streetlighting controls. Still Oxfordshire-based, W Lucy & Co employs more than 1,000 people worldwide, with operations in UK, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, South Africa, China, Thailand, Malaysia and India.

Judges’ Shortlist Softcat: Headquartered in Marlow, Softcat is one of the UK’s fastest growing IT providers. It announced a record £500 million-plus turnover (28% increase) last year. InstaGroup Holdings: Founded in 1980, the Finchampstead-based group today works at the forefront of the UK energy efficiency and acoustics industry. Opus Energy: Since 2002, this Oxford-founded independent energy supplier has been supplying electricity and gas to businesses across the UK. Today more than 200,000 customers, ranging from local newsagents to city councils to large corporate businesses rely on it delivering competitively-priced energy, including renewable energy sources.
