4. Replace regulator adjust- ment screw cap (A).


REGULATOR CONVERSION CAUTION: Main burner and pilot orifi ces must be changed when regulator is converted from one type of gas to an- other. 1. Turn off gas and electricity to appliance. 2. Remove slotted cap (A), ad- justing screw (B), and natural gas spring - not color-coded - (C), from control.


3. Install new LP spring - col- or-coded with a black strip. 4. Install new adjusting screw (B). 5. Attach manometer or pres- sure gauge at the outlet pres- sure tap (D) 6. Turn gas and electricity on 7. Turn room thermostat to call for heat. 8. With burner on, adjust screw (B) to supply L.P. gas to pressure as recommended by the appliance manufacturer. 9. If adjusting screw (B) reaches its maximum depth (bottoms out) before recom- mended pressure setting is reached, turn screw coun- terclockwise until pressure drops slightly (approximately 0.1”W.C.) WARNING: Do not stretch or alter spring.

10. Turn off gas and electricity to appliance. 11. Remove manometer or pressure gauge and reinstall pressure tap outlet plug (D). 12. Install new red slotted cap in place of (A). 13. Turn gas and electricity on. 14. With burner operating, immediately check all fi ttings for leaks with soap solution. Bubbles indicate

that must be corrected. 15. Conduct a combustion test on the equipment to determine safe and effi cient fi ring of the equipment. 16. Attach label to show con- trol has been converted to L.P. 17. Set room thermostat to desired temperature.

WHAT’S NEW


We have recently updated some of our manuals one on Water Heaters. It is # 27 in our catalog..


There is also a new manual on Flammable Vapor Ignition Resistant (FVIR) 30, 40 and 50 gallon Water Heaters. They have been around since 2003 and all storage water heaters have had FVIR technology since 2007. The manual will cover just about all the manufacturers ap- proach to this technology. The manual includes troubleshoot- ing these systems. It is 355 page comprehensive manual on all the different systems used by various manufacturers. It includes 95 color illustrations. This is a must have if you want to properly install and service these water heaters. These are not your grandfather’s wa- ter heaters, included are the Bradford White ICON System, White Rodgers IntelliVent sys- tem along with Honeywell WV 8840 Control and Honeywell WV 8860 Control.
