RISING STAR OF THE YEAR

WINNER:

This was the debut for this new award aimed at recognising successful and growing property entities now making their mark either in the commercial or residential sectors – the rising stars in their field.

The talented trio named as shortlisted nominees were:

• Heaton & Partners • Inland Homes • Kempton Carr Croft

Established in 2013 as a property-finding consultancy, Newbury-based Heaton & Partners provides a tailor-made service to clients to find and secure the ‘perfect home’. It acts for a diverse client base and has expanded in the past two years to a staff of 10, with turnover increasing by 500%. The firm now has an international presence, representing clients from 15 different countries worldwide.

AIM-listed Inland Homes is a housebuilder and brownfield regeneration specialist, which aims to create sustainable communities. It had a highly successful 2014, with record results, industry awards and acclaim. With a 300% growth in property completions, turnover at nearly £40 million and pre-tax profits of £8.6m, Inland has become a thriving company employing 30 people working on around 40 projects.

THE BUSINESS MAGAZINE – THAMES VALLEY – JUNE 2015

HEATON & PARTNERS

Maidenhead-based property consultancy Kempton Carr Croft has increased headcount from 12 to 33 in the past three years, and more than doubled annual profits since 2012. Recent successes include being appointed by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to value its entire property portfolio. The business continues to grow rapidly as it approaches its 30th birthday.

Having already won the prestigious Housebuilder of the Year title, the odds were short on Inland Homes making it a winning double at Ascot.

This award was sponsored by the Romans Group, itself a fast-growing and award- winning property business, and to a fanfare Peter Coles (pictured right), group managing director of Romans, announced the winner – Heaton & Partners.

A proud and delighted Helen Rhodes (pictured centre), partner at Heaton & Partners, commented: “When Ed Heaton started the company in 2013, I don’t think that he, or any of us, would have believed that we could have come this far so quickly. It has taken a lot of hard work, huge amounts of commitment, but it has been extremely enjoyable.

“Basically, we provide a very bespoke and

special service for our clients and it’s so exciting to have won tonight. We don’t advertise, we rely on referrals, but the Thames Valley is such a valuable area of the country that it is exceptionally important to be recognised, and I anticipate our publicising this award very soon.”
