THAMES VALLEY

And the winner is ...

Inland Homes is delighted to have been named ‘House Builder of the Year’ at the Thames Valley Property Awards 2015

Inland Homes plc is a house builder and regeneration specialist based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Inland is dedicated to achieving excellence in sustainability and design within predominantly brownfield projects. It aims to create sustainable communities which set a benchmark for future development in Southern England.

Beginning with a staff of just three, the company is thriving and now employs 30 people working on around 40 projects. In 2014, Inland outgrew its previous offices and moved to a prominent 5,309 sq ft location close to Amersham Station.

Inland acquires or controls brownfield sites with potential for residentially-led mixed-use schemes and adds value by obtaining planning consent. It installs necessary infrastructure and either sells ‘oven-ready’ plots to other housebuilders or, increasingly, builds on the land itself. Inland owns sites across the Thames Valley and as far afield as Poole, Dorset.

Inland has won five awards so far for its pioneering 779 home community Drayton Garden Village, formerly RAF West Drayton, Hillingdon. The regeneration of the 31-acre site has created landscaped boulevards and greens, and Inland has invested in carbon reduction via a District Heat Network, which centres on a combined heat and power energy centre for all homes as well as a photovoltaic array.

Recently the company has also successfully completed a development of 152 one and two bedroom apartments on a landmark site adjacent to Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital in Ashford, Middlesex called West Plaza.

Elsewhere in the Thames Valley in the village of Wooburn Green, Inland is building The Comptons, a development of one and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom, three-storey houses with flexible interiors built into a hillside off Wycombe Lane, with views towards the Chilterns. The company is also soon to bring to the market new homes in Iver and Loudwater.

Inland has recently completed the purchase of Wilton Park in Beaconsfield, a 100-acre former MoD site. Inland owns the preferred access to the site, which is planned as the company’s flagship development and has been allocated in the local plan for in excess of 300 homes.
