Routeways & Connections Project: March – June 2015 The AONB have been busy with artist Shelley Castle locally produc- ing the Routeways and Connections project on the Brixham & Kingswear Peninsular. The project focuses on finding new ways for participants to engage with the diverse and exceptional heritage across the peninsular through a range of activities. The Peninsular Quest is a free, fun family activity which explores the area with all entries entered into the big prize draw. To check out other activities pick up the leaflet around the area or go to www.southdevonaonb. org.uk and click on Routeways & Connections project.

New Galmpton Village Trail There’s a new Galmpton Village Trail which highlights historic buildings and places of interest in the area – a choice of 3 self- guided walks which cover all levels. Available through Manor Inn, Galmpton and Galleon Stores for £1 or visit www.galmptontorbay. org.uk for a downloadable version.

New Geocaches Why not try Geocaching – the modern form of treasure hunting with a GPS device or Geocaching app. It’s a fun way to get the whole family out and there are 12 new geocaches placed in a vari- ety of locations along 6 established walks in the AONB. Just search for ‘Your South Devon AONB Landscape’ at www.geocaching.com.
