May Norwich City of Ale 2015 Venues across Norwich

26-30 May Avenue Q Te Playhouse

Everyone knows there’s nothing funnier than saucy puppets. If you agree, head down to the Playhouse for a potty mouthed and edgy version of Sesame Street. College graduate Princeton searches for his life’s purpose with New York buddies Christmas Eve, Lucy the Slut and former child celebrity Gary Coleman who all live on Avenue Q. With songs like Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist, If You Were Gay and Te Internet is for Porn, how can you go wrong? It’s not a show for the easily offended, mind, so maybe leave your nan at home for this one.

25 May Richie Ramone Te Owl Sanctuary

So yep. It’s an ACTUAL RAMONE OUT OF THE RAMONES IN NORWICH. Richie Ramone is the fastest, most powerful drummer who ever played with the legendary punk rock band the Ramones. He played with them in over 500 shows. Since then he’s arranged symphonic works and taken his virtuoso drumming style to gigs throughout the world. You can see him play, live, right here in Norwich for just £5, so if you like drums, Te Ramones, or just want to see a legend for a mere pittance, get yo’self a ticket quicksmart. Well done Te Owl Sanctuary.

Holly’s a Norwich singer songwriter who’s already released three whole albums, and that’s no mean feat I’m sure you’ll agree. For her most recent album she set up a recording studio in the shed at the bottom of her garden, worked for two years on creating songs on her banjo, ukulele and guitar and called a few musical buddies in to help. Te end result, Te Wooden House, is out on June 1st, but you can catch some of her new songs live at the album launch at Norwich Arts Centre on 28th May. Her music is delicate, tenderly heartfelt and a sweet mix between folk and country. She’s really very good indeed.
