TWO thieves who stole cars after breaking into homes in Maid- stone have been jailed for six years.


Matthew Nicholls (25) and Luke Clements (22)were sentenced for a string of burglaries in the town be- tween February and April 2013. They were arrested following break-ins in Hilary Road, New- bury Avenue, Boxley Road and Heathfield Road, aswell as further offences detected in Sevenoaks and Essex.

All three appeared at Maidstone Crown Court. Nicholls was sen- tenced to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to six burglaries, including two in Essex. Clements was jailed for two years after ad- mitting three counts of burglary, one of handling stolen goods and one of theft. Fuller (29), also of Stagshaw

cated process to ensure justice has been served but thankfully now both of these men are behind bars and I hope this provides some comfort to those affected by their crimes.”


Bid to fell tree


JULIA Brewin has applied for con- servation area consent to fell a pit- tosporum tree in Friars Court, Queen Anne Road, Maidstone. Her supporting statement says
