Choirs join for concert

WEST Malling Community Choir and The Maidstone Singers come together for a joint concert at St Mary’s Church, West Malling on Saturday, March 28.

The choir goes from strength to strength with more than 60 people rehearsing each week and more than 100 on their books. Both choirs are enjoying their music and the spring concert is the icing on the cake for the community choir, giving it an opportunity to show how enjoyable singing can be. The conductor is Jeffrey Vaughan Martin. The Maidstone Singers will be going on tour to Perugia in Italy in May when their highlight will be singing in the Basilica in Assisi. They will be singing some of their tour pieces in the spring concert, which will support two local charities, Spadework, based in Offham, and Kent Association for the Blind.
