SUPPORTING THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN
O
n September 19th, a ‘Wing of Minis’ will embark on their mission through London and on to Dover,
passing many of the key Battle of Britain landmarks throughout the south of the country.
The Wing will consist of 5 Squadrons of 10 Minis, each with its own Squadron Leader. The departure point will be Bentley Priory and they will hit various stages along the

With the Battle of Britain’s 75th Anniversary this year, the RAF Mini Club is running a celebratory tour, in conjunction with the RAF Association.
route before a Squadron scramble from the Battle of Britain airfield, RAF Kenley. There will be challenges en-route for the teams to complete.
Lunch will be provided at the RAF Association Kenley and Caterham Branch and we hope to have a programme of family friendly activity.
All squadrons will then scramble to meet the enemy head on and travel down to the
south coast via central London past the various memorials and landmarks. The final calling point will be the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel le Ferne, where there will be a sunset ceremony and Spitfire display.

The RAFMC is free to join and available to all serving and reservist members of the Royal Air Force.
Its open to all varieties of the classic and modern Mini brand but owning a classic or
modern Mini isn't essential, enthusiasts are more than welcome to join.
Dependants, Retired, University Air Squadron, and Cadet personnel can be granted honorary membership after review from the committee.
