AROUND KINGSWEAR Around Kingswear NEWS FROM THE SUNNY SIDE

As the magazine goes to press our roving Kingswear correspondent, Mike Trevorrow will be travelling around the globe so it falls to us to give you a quick update on the latest goings-on in Kingswear.

DEFIBRILLATOR UPDATE Back in august you may remember that we

mentioned the plans to raise money to install a community defibrillator in Kingswear. We are now pleased to report that thanks to the generosity of local residents, south hams council, Kingswear regatta Fund and fundraising by Dartmouth holiday homes the target has been reached and the defibrillator has been ordered! We hope that it will be installed by easter with awareness and cpr training following shortly after.

If

you would like any further information or would like to log your interest in cpr training do email us at kingsweardefib@gmail.com

The first is to be played locally at the churston Golf club on Wednesday 29th april and then in June at the lovely parkland course at stover on Tuesday 9th. The society hQ will again be the ship Inn where landlord colin, as part of his 10th anniversary year celebrations, is the welcoming host for the 19th hole food and drinks. so whether you are a regular, occasional or used to
