FOOD & DRINK
On the Kingswear side of the river, Oopsydebsy’s bistro has reopened after a few weeks’ winter break – sunday lunches and themed suppers are all popular events and booking’s needed. also if you fancy sunday lunch at home but none of the fuss, Debbie can sort out a takeaway for you.
Nonsuch House’s winter pop up suppers have been another great hit with a few evenings left in march – phone penny on 01803 752829 for any cancellations as Kit’s food is always delicious and the evenings do get booked up. here at the cooking school, courses are busy and students are coming from all over the uK and further afield to learn new skills and enjoy beautiful Dartmouth. We have teamed up with chef Richard Hunt who will be coming in to teach some of our courses – richard (a popular face at the Food Festival) has been cooking for over 20 years and is a great source of knowledge which he loves passing on. he’s also off to the caribbean to get married - many congrats richard!
slightly further afield but still with a marital theme, Guy Watson has married Geetie singh who owns the Duke pub in london’s Islington so congratulations there too. an additional development is that the Duke is now the uK’s first organically certified pub and is serving riverford’s veggies from their uK and French farms. so if you’re in london, you can still get a taste of Devon and you may well be served your pint by Guy!
so as I said just a few of the foodie things going on in Dartmouth but as ever delicious food for all.
