New Year’s Resolution #1: Try a new sport in 2015
Snowfit & Revolutionz have joined forces with the Norfolk Snowsports Club to encourage you lucky Outline readers to grab a chance to learn how to snowboard! So if you are looking to boost your adrenalin levels in 2015, or just try something a bit unusual to get fit, this is your opportunity. British snowboarders did so well at last year’s Winter Olympics that it’s all gone postal up at Revolutionz and the Snowsports Club.
Revolutionz, Norwich's longest running snowboard shop, will be 18 years old this year. Tey originally set up shop in the Norwich Lanes but their new home on Hall Road has proved to be a great success. Tis supercool family business was started and is still run by people who just really bloody love winter sports. Tey have a huge range of sick equipment at their shop; in fact, the largest range of snowboard and ski equipment in the south of the UK. Teir snazztastic website
www.snowfit.co.uk is well stocked and helpful if you can’t be arsed to try to fit a pair of skis into your Mini.
You wouldn’t expect to find the Norfolk Snowsports club in the flattest county in England, but they’re tearing it up with a dry ski slope and lessons available for all ages and ability levels. Tey even have their own festival each September, the Farmers Jam freestyle festival. Snowboarding doles out a totally sweet buzz; sure, it’s better in the mountains on real snow, but even on plastic the sense of speed and thrills as you shred the gnar is extraordinary.
We’re all way fat from Christmas, and this sofa sure is comfy. But hang on. Maybe it could be YOU that’s runnin’ a 360°, riding down the pow and stomping that jib. Sure, you have no idea what I mean, and neither do I, but you COULD do, if only you could learn from an expert…OH!
