Excellent property prices were achieved at a recent auction held by Fisher German Denton Clark. The auction on 21st March at the Rowton Hall Hotel, Rowton, Chester was the firm’s first of the year and their first since the Chester firm merged with national firm Fisher German. Just three lots were offered
for sale on the evening, with a further lot being sold prior to the Auction. Dale Hey, a detached
property in Great Sutton was guided at £85,000- £100,000, subsequently sold for £116,000. The Old School House in Frodsham was the highlight of the evening,

guided at just £50,000, even with its close proximity to a sports pitch, it still realised a sale price of £105,000. William Lewis of Fisher German Denton Clark said, “I realised from the first viewings that the property would sell well despite the proximity of the sports pitch and the work required. It goes to show how popular Frodsham is.” The final lot, 4.33 acres of land at Llanerch-y-Mor, near Holywell remains on the market.

office building in Market Warsop, at a guide of £150,000 and is suitable for a number of uses subject to planning, said Matt Hilton, partner at HEB and auctioneer. “Once again, we are offering a number of commercial properties which present lots of opportunities for investors and occupiers.” “Despite a difficult market, the number of properties being
offered for sale at auction is on the increase, as sellers can see the advantage of the intense marketing period and the certain timescale with an unconditional sale, often to a cash buyer”. “With around £2m worth of property on offer at this auction there are some very well priced opportunities and I’m sure we will see some keen bidding on the day.”
Green, Kent, was sold by Ibbett Mosely at their second property auction. The previous record for agricultural land locally is £15,000 per acre, so the vendor was delighted with the staggering £36,000 per acre. Senior Partner at Ibbett Mosely in Sevenoaks Dr Robert Wickham said, “We are delighted that the land was sold for such a large amount and our client is thrilled. Agricultural land is definitely escalating in value as people look for safe places to invest their money during uncertain and unstable economic times. They are seeing land as a much better alternative to unstable investments such as currencies and stocks and shares.”
Other properties included
a Grade II listed cottage in Wrotham, Kent, and a 2.1 acre plot in Seal, Kent, with planning consent. Both reached their guide prices.
