NEW REAL ESTATE PARTNER FOR WEIGHTMANS LLP Weightmans LLP has boosted its Real Estate offering with the arrival of Partner Steven Silver at the Manchester
office. Qualified since 1986, Steven comes from the Co-Operative Group, where he was Deputy Group Counsel. He specialises in general real estate and commercial property law and will work closely with Weightmans’ Head of the Real Estate, Karl Jackson. Karl Jackson said, “Steven has a
first rate reputation and we are delighted to welcome him. He has an important part to play as we continue to develop our offering to current and prospective clients.” Steven said, “I’m delighted to return to private practice by joining Weightmans. “The firm has made giant strides in recent times and is now regarded as a market leader in the real estate field.”
NEW HOMES MANAGER APPOINTED AT CONNELLS Connells has appointed Kerry Benton as New Homes Manager, covering Peterborough and
Lincolnshire. Kerry joined Connells in 2005 as a negotiator at the company’s Hampton Hargate office. She was earmarked as a rising star and became Branch Manager is 2009. Kerry has a wide range of experience having sold second-hand and new-build properties in the area for a number of years. Kerry said, “I am delighted to
have taken up this new opportunity and I am relishing the challenges it brings. Having worked alongside both large plc house builders and smaller developers for a number of years, I have the expertise and knowledge to bring to this new role. I look forward to building on my relationship with developers to increase Connells’ land and new
homes operation.” Kerry will be responsible for the smooth running of existing developments being sold through Connells in Peterborough, North Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. She will also work closely with the regional managing director, area directors and branches, to gain more new homes instructions from developers in the area.
MORE MOVE TO MOVE WITH US Move with Us has appointed Anthony Radford as Product Development Director and Paul Nicholas as Technology and Programmes Director. Anthony will be responsible for
the development of Legal and Financial Services propositions. Joining from GE Capital, Anthony has over 20 years experience in the mortgage industry having previously worked with the Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Legal & General. Paul joins from his consultancy business, Fermat Consulting, which helped SMEs make the most of
their IT and address risks such as business continuity and information security. Anthony said, “This is an exciting
time for Move with Us as we expand our asset management division and drive the business into new areas. Move with Us is already an extremely innovative business and I look forward to using my experience to shape our extensive range of unique business propositions.” Paul said, “Technology sits at the heart of this business and keeping up with new advances and trends will be the key to our expansion. I look forward to working alongside the professional business teams to ensure that this will be an enabler to our continued success.”
