SHOPfitting
A luxury refurbishment is very different from a standard refit,
says Mike, “We go the extra mile – working with craftsmen who specialise in quality one-off pieces. We also install bespoke technology to give the design the cutting edge and a point of difference. A client like Messila House needs a slick window display so we commissioned a mix of custom-fit LED light panels and LCD digital screens. We installed real timber floors, stone tiles and bespoke hand-built desks and doors. Our design team also created hidden storage that worked with the office’s existing layout.” When property deals worth £10, £20 or even £30 million are
being discussed, discretion is crucial, so plans need to factor in a private meeting space, as well as an inviting reception area. For Messila House, MPL Interiors created a private glass walled room with wood panelling to give a boardroom feel – the message is professionalism and serious intent. Mike sums up, “Commissioning a top-end refurbishment is a big
commitment but in these circles you can’t afford to let your brand and branches become sub-standard. Keeping on top of trends, making sure fittings are in good condition and going the extra mile with interior design will soon start to repay your investment.”
FAIRFIELD
Estate Agents selling properties for millions of pounds need to create an environment which reflects the exclusivity of their market. Clients want to be treated in a highly professional manner, so image is key; the office needs to look elegant, contemporary and welcoming. This mocked up design has branding which incorporates a heraldic Lion motif to evokes a sense of regal tradition, trust and confidence. A dark, rich blue is the accent colour to emphasise the premium nature of the brand. The traditional building has been completely modernised and
full length glass windows allows a clear view into the interior. A high impact a combination display has been created using a mixture of A1 portrait and A2 landscape suspended LED Light Pockets in one window and low level custom designed panels in the other.
In these circles you can’t afford to let your brand become sub-standard.’
Superb new LED Light Pockets from Fairfield are so bright, they light up the street!
The low level displays are in blue acrylic with A3 landscape LED
Light Pockets inserted into the panels, mounted onto elegant silver stands. High quality full colour graphics increase the visual impact of the properties. The LED Pockets are so bright that they light up the street drawing attention to the office. To enhance the corporate branding, the dark blue has been used
across the entire back wall. To create a contrast, beige panels, with LED illuminated property details have been mounted with satin chrome studs. The panels add a touch of sparkle and interest to the walls. A 40” digital screen is next to the illuminated panels to showcase the best properties with a mixture of still images and videos. A high specification screen has been used with a brightness of 700 cd/m². If a screen is used in the window the brightness may go up to 1500 cd/m² which means it can be clearly seen even on a sunny day. The properties on the screen can easily be updated using the CODA network system, one of the easiest systems to use. Agents can even upload the latest properties direct from an iPad. There is great attention to detail, around the base of the desks and under the desk tops, soft orange LEDs have been used to give a touch of contemporary elegance. This same theme is used behind the lettering positioned above the screen. The side wall has been covered with a large map in corporate colours. Fairfield Displays provides a complete service from high quality
3D visuals, site surveys, and national installation service, plus full after sales support for the digital signage. Agents may visit Fairfield’s large showroom in Fleet, Hampshire to see many of the inspirational ideas or their consultants can visit agents’ offices. Fairfield has a host of happy customers: “I am really pleased with the end result. Our office is a corner
site and can be seen for miles due to the brightness of the floating Light Pockets.” Christopher Batten, Wimborne, Dorset. “It is really easy to change the property details in
the Light Pockets. We print the information on our normal printer and drop the details into the double sided pockets.” Alex Horne, Director, Savills, Chester. “Fairfield created several sketches for us which
gave us an initial idea of how the display would look. The consultant visited our office and showed us a sample of the new Light Pocket, she held it up in the window and we looked from the outside. This simple exercise certainly helped us to get a good idea what the display would look like. “We are absolutely delighted with the way the
installation was carried out. Your fitter was delightful, extremely helpful and more importantly very precise. The display has been finished off with a custom logo panel which represents our strong brand image. The light pockets have been fitted into two offices,” said Clare Norman, Jackson-Stops & Staff, Newbury.
