Stalking in the
margin..On hot sunny days, it is natural for carp to seek the shade of overhanging trees. Margins also provide a much greater variety and wealth of natural food that can preoccupy carp and hold them there in numbers. Close up and personal, eyeball to eyeball with a big carp is heart stopping!
It is more likely that you have limited
options - as is the current trend in modern day carp angling - and you have only a selection of particles/boilies and nothing else, with no other options open to you but to fish as the huge majority do. I find it quite astounding that the popular and much bandied phrase ‘be different’ is actually nothing but hollow words in reality.
