and CEO of Project C.U.R.E. Mr. Jackson encour- aged students and practicing attorneys alike to find their own paths in law and life and to create a community where readily accessible medical care is equitably marshaled. His encouraging and inspirational words were as illuminating as they were appreciated.
Sturm’s ILS chapter is excited to send four stu- dent representatives to International Law Week- end in NYC this October, thanks to funding from the Student Bar Association, the Nanda Center, and the International Legal Studies Program.
Later this fall, our chapter is hosting an event en- couraging students to study abroad and pursue internships abroad. We will be specifically high- lighting DU’s study abroad program in Guatemala. Another fall event this year will be a UN Lunch for UN Day, partnering with our local chapter of Amnesty International.
We have had outstanding attendance this fall at each of our lunches and events and hope to con- tinue to draw students with engaging lunchtime talks and panels. The International Law Society continues to expand and enhance the learning op- portunities for students at the University of Den- ver Sturm College of Law.

WILS
University of Wisconsin Law School Madison, Wisconsin USA
Laura Bachmann, President
The Wisconsin International Law Society (WILS) is happy to report an increase in interest in inter- national law for the second year in a row. As a growing organization, we are excited to continue our annual activities from last year in addition to adding new ones.
We finished our last spring semester with an at- torney panel, featuring local practitioners who have had an international element to their ca- reers. Our panel included Nathan Kirschner, Tom Kuzmanovic, and Maria Rivera-Lupu. Nathan’s international experience includes working as an expert for the American Bar Association on a pro bono basis to support a UNDP mission on issues in Sudan regarding elections and South Sudan’s independence. Tom maintains his practice in Mil- waukee, but has worked on a case before the International Criminal Tribunal on the Former Yu- goslavia. Maria has worked in the areas of inter- national arbitration and corporate compliance.
Over the summer, WILS members met with members of the Wisconsin State Bar Internation- al Practice Section to hear about issue in climate change, human rights, and international environ- mental law from Sumudu Atapattu, a professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School and advi- sor for our ILSA Chapter.
