IBA - ILSA Conference
connections in a genuine yet professional man- ner.
The final panel of the 2014 IBA-ILSA Conference was the ILSA Chapters Networking and Informa- tion session. From the outset, each delegate was encouraged to introduce themselves and share their particular interests and dreams. This panel provided information regarding the benefits of being a member of an ILSA Chapter as well as encourage everyone to participate in Interna- tional Law Weekend (ILW). Delegates were then divided in to groups and to brainstorm ideas for that their own Chapter could use when they re- turned to their home institution.
As the conference drew to a close, I saw groups of delegates leave together who had come to the conference not knowing one another. I overheard
conversations about favorite panels and future plans for their local Chapters. To me, this is in- dicative of a wonderfully successful conference whose scholars inspired and excited their audi- ences to learn more.
I want to congratulate IBA and ILSA on putting together a truly eclectic and dynamic event and thank the organizers and volunteers for all of their hard work. Thank you to the College of Law in Bloomsbury for hosting us in their wonderful fa- cilities. A final thank you to all of the delegates who came from near and far to share this con- ference with us. This may only be the 2nd An- nual IBA-ILSA Conference but it has already set a precedent for greatness. I hope all of you will join us in New York City in October for International Law Weekend!
