Hurlburt presents every piece of evidence, some previously picked over and some generally unknown in a format that is clear and understandable to readers with an avid interest in the assassination and theories surrounding a cover-up, as well as to those with the barest of knowledge. The public as- sertions of the Warren Commission are set side by side with the primary evidence they
had to work with, resulting in a thorough ex- amination of this crime of the century. The author doesn't hesitate to offer his
own speculation of who the guilty parties are, including weak ineffective politicians, main stream media, and others who played a part in the cover-up, with a wry sense of humor at times. Readers sit in on some critical mo- ments in the Warren Commission hearings. What if Earl Warren had chosen to do the right thing instead of worrying about how badly he'd piss off J. Edgar Hoover if he really investigated Lee Harvey Oswald's history with the FBI and/or CIA? Was the Oswald that went to Russia the same one who returned? Why weren't dozens of key characters in- volved never interviewed? "Seriously??", came to mind several times while reading this. I literally was laughing in the chapter where he lays out (in a dream like scenario) the prosecutor and his assistant going over the case against Oswald. It is really funny how he turns the table of the "airtight" case they were assigned by the DA. If you're a conspiracy theorist, this book
will provide you with all the evidence you want to argue your angle. If you're a believer in the lone whack job now, you won't be after reading this book. It's a keeper. •
