news Finalists announced

Judges have chosen the finalists for the Women in Business awards which will be presented this month at a gala dinner at Oakley Hall, near Basingstoke

After carefully sifting through the nominations and interviewing candidates on a shortlist, the judges have chosen 22 names who will go through to the awards final on September 11.

Women in Business is organised by The Business Magazine and sponsored by Barclays, business adviser Deloitte, law firm Blake Morgan and recruitment specialist GCS.

The finalists are from across the Solent and Thames Valley regions and range from women running their own businesses to women in key executive roles in the public, private and charity sectors.

Judges praised the quality of entries. David Murray, publisher of The Business Magazine, said: “Many of the nominations were outstanding and choosing the finalists was extremely difficult. There are some inspirational stories among the 22 finalists, and anyone who attends the awards night at Oakley Hall will be hugely impressed by the calibre of women competing for these trophies.“
