Six year old Joseph enjoyed his football day with PKC (Pennies’ Kids Club) at Lenham Wanderers Football Club. The day in August – supported by professional coaches - was one of the final activities offered by PKC during a summer holiday club that also included visits to a dry ski slope, historic attractions and a range of sports facilities including a local gym. Sheila Vickers – who runs the club for Pennies – said: “Our children love the combination of action, adventure and doing things together. It’s really important in planning activities for a club that takes children from the ages of four to 11 to offer things that allow everyone to feel involved and enjoy their days to the full. Lenham Wanderers were a perfect destination; they have the facilities to take girls and boys and bring the best out of all levels of ability.”
A decade of experience PKC has almost a decade of experience in offering the very best days for children. Typical holiday clubs combine some tried and tested favourites with new adventures. The October holiday club has the traditional Halloween monster mash party and a new experience involving a day’s singing and dancing fun at Maidstone’s professional Vocademy Studio. Christmas offers the usual party, music, dancing and visit from Santa. Previous PKC adventures have included water sport adventures at Bewl
Water, themed days linked to movies and musicals and memorable experiences including regular visits to superbike practice at Brands Hatch.
Pennies’ operations director Dominic Scotton said: “We are a family run company with over 25 years of experience in all kinds of childcare; including nurseries, a nannying agency and our various clubs. PKC is a place that offers the kind of fun, adventures and memorable days any family would want to provide to their children. We are always looking for new ideas and sometimes children come to us with really good suggestions. The offer for the next two holiday clubs is probably the best we’ve ever had at this time of year, but we’ll do our best to top it next year.”
