Lichfield & Tamworth Chamber of Commerce
Lichfield Town Team, Lichfield District Council and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce are working together to create a Business Improvement District (BID) business plan for Lichfield city centre. The historic Cathedral City of Lichfield contrasts greatly with its close neighbour Tamworth, a town which has seen significant expansion in recent years.
Opportunities abound in both centres with modern industrial zones attracting investment from inside and outside the UK, creating new jobs.
Situated in the heart of the country, Lichfield and Tamworth offer the perfect base for commuters and can solve logistical headaches for any business. A first class road network provides easy access across the UK. Add to the mix excellent air and rail links and you have a perfect business location.
The Chamber of Commerce provides comprehensive support to businesses with international ambitions, including an excellent translation service. Our UK International Trade advisers are always on hand to give companies the benefit of their expertise. The Lichfield and Tamworth business community is made up of an array of businesses, from the smallest enterprises to the largest PLCs. The Chamber of Commerce is proud to be the supporting arm for

businesses and has connections within local, regional and central government. The Chamber’s links with two Local Enterprise Partnerships – Staffordshire County LEP and the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP – provides another platform to address business concerns.
Actively engaging with the private and public sector is at the heart of the Chamber’s mission statement. It is developing strong links with schools, colleges and universities to ensure the workforce remains aligned to current business’s needs.
The Chamber of Commerce is the voice of the business world. By working together we can lay the foundations of a thriving local and UK economy which is able to compete in wider markets.
