Marina has 300 berths, catering for vessels up to 55 metres with a maximum draft of 5.5 metres at pontoons installed by Ronautica. There are 10-12 berths suitable for superyachts.


The marina’s


Rolec pedestals supply single and three-phase electricity (up to 250 amps) and there is also drinking water available at all berths. TV connection and complimentary high speed Wi-Fi is available throughout all areas of the marina. There is a waste water collection and treatment plant, as well as bilge water collection service. Solid waste collection stations and waste engine oil collection stations are conveniently located and there is an independent


desalination plant on site. Technical services and facilities


include 18,000 square metres of dry storage area for refit and repairs, modern and fully-equipped workshops with experienced marine engineers and a 300 ton Ascom boat hoist, which accommodates yachts up to 45 metres and with a beam up to 10 metres, making it capable of lifting catamarans. Euro-Diesel and petrol is available. There is 24/7 CCTV and security personnel throughout the marina, together with access control and access cards for each marina area. The laundry room is within a short walk of each of the berths. There is also an on-site mini- market with daily fresh produce, chandlery, lockable storage areas, international currency ATM and a yacht brokerage office. The duty-free status of Karpaz


Gate Marina is becoming more significant,


particularly with


Croatia joining the European Union in the Summer of 2013. The TRNC is now one of the last places within the EU’s geographic area that enables tax savings on long-term mooring, fuel, technical service and supplies. The marina is an Official Port of Entry and the multi-lingual staff can provide assistance with clearance procedures and other arrangements. A shuttle bus is also available. Additional facilities are


available to both clients that arrive by boat and people who visit by road. These include Hemingway’s Resto-Bar, the gym, beach club with 33 metre ‘infinity’ pool, an art gallery, watersports centre and children’s play area. Visitors by sea enjoy special rates and benefits in these outlets. There are currently 50 who are mostly


employees,


local, including staff at the head office in Nicosia, the marina and


technical services professionals, site maintenance team and those working in hospitality, Hemingway’s Resto-Bar,


running gym,


beach club, art gallery and in the mini-market. This number grows to 60 in the sailing season. Karpaz Gate Marina became the first marina in Cyprus to achieve Gold Anchor status after it was awarded the prestigious Five Gold Anchor rating following an assessment by The Yacht Harbour Association and was praised for its charming ambiance and superb services. The marina was also awarded the internationally- recognised ICOMIA Clean Marina standard in July, 2013.
