remier Marinas has installed HavenStar, the leading marina management system from


Star Computers Ltd, to support the effective management and running of its operations around the South Coast of England. Premier is one of the UK’s largest coastal marina operators with an outstanding portfolio that includes Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne, Brighton, Chichester, Southsea, Port Solent, Gosport, Swanwick and Cornwall’s Falmouth Marina. The operator’s core business is


the wet and dry berthing of leisure craft, offering a total of 5,100 berths as well as on-shore storage for over 2,000 boats in traditional cradles or in dry stack. Each location also has fully equipped boatyards with a range of services including lift, scrub, pressure wash, block off or re-launch, while additional services such as boat cleaning, maintenance, sail making, chandlery, rigging, electronics

and engineering are provided by Premier’s tenants at most locations. Across its sites, Premier rents out over 300,000 square feet of property. Peter Bradshaw, CEO of Premier


Marinas, explained that adoption of HavenStar is part of the company’s continuing programme of investment in the regeneration and running of its marinas. This includes introducing new facilities and services, and enhancing the customer experience of berth holders and the thousands of visiting yachtsmen drawn each year to Premier’s prime locations. “HavenStar will result in


improvements and greater productivity all down the line - that’s pretty well taken for granted - but a really important aspect is that we now have a platform to help us deliver even better customer service. The system will help run our marinas better, improve productivity, meet evermore demanding customer expectations -


and of course, maintain profitability. That makes this most recent investment even more worthwhile,” Peter said. HavenStar has been integrated


with Premier’s Access Dimensions financial system and will also be linked seamlessly with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. HavenStar’s powerful multi-


marina architecture and user control options enable Premier to share key data between marinas but accessible only to those staff with the required privileges. Real-time synchronisation allows Premier to see changes at the marinas as they happen. This might be views of marina occupancy, for example, to maximise berth utilisation, while instant access to customer account history results in faster processing of reservations, billing, vessel movement and contract management.
