Register Your Foal Online The online foal registra-
tion application is available for mare owners, at the time of foal- ing, to log into
www.aqhamem-
bers.org to start registering foals, complete with a more efficient way to upload photos when registering your foals online. The photo uploading process is now easier to use. You can upload pictures by using the browser and selecting the photograph to upload or by simply dragging and dropping the photo(s) in the window. Many registration applications AQHA receives by mail are missing very basic information, such as foaling date, coat color, gender and the state in which the foal was born. The online registration process helps to pre- vent these accidental omissions, and by using the online registra- tion application, you receive expedited service on registration papers. Additionally, the online registration application validates name choices immediately and lets you know if the name you
selected is available.
Tentative Select World Schedule
The tentative schedule for
the 2014 Adequan Select World Championship Show is now available online. The Adequan Select World, which is August 22-30 at the Amarillo National Center in Amarillo, Texas fea- tures the world’s top amateur riders, age 50 and over, and their American Quarter Horses. Free Ride the Rail/Ride
the Pattern clinics will be taught by AQHA Professional Horse- men during this year’s Adequan Select World. These clinics are sponsored by Nutrena. In addi- tion to Ride the Rail/Ride the Pattern clinics, exhibitors, friends and family are invited to attend the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum party and a barn party held dur- ing the event. Stay up to date on all the
happenings at the Adequan Select World and find online coverage provided by The American Quarter Horse Journal at
www.aqha.com/selectworld and follow @AQHAJournal on
Twitter for updates.
AQHA World Show Sale Adds Bonus Program Beginning at this year’s
AQHA World Championship Show Sale, buyers will have the option to pay $1,000 on each of their World Show Sale purchas- es to make those horses eligible to show at one or all of the AQHA world shows (Zoetis Versatility Ranch Horse, Ade- quan Select, Built Ford Tough AQHYA and AQHA world championship shows) the year following the sale without hav- ing to qualify for the respective show. The $1,000 must be paid in addition to standard world show entry fees. AQHA hopes the new
AQHA World Show Sale bonus program, which was developed by the AQHA World Champi- onship Show Sale Committee, will attract more buyers and also give breeders and trainers an incentive to consign their horse to the 2014 AQHA World Show Sale. The AQHA World Show Sale Committee, comprised of AQHA members who are indus- try leaders in their disciplines,
encourages potential buyers to use this venue to purchase their next world show prospect and to see the financial benefit of doing so. The consignment deadline is September 3. The consignment application and additional bonus program details can be found at
www.aqha.com/horsesale.
Awards Recognition Concepts AQHA’s trophy division,
Awards Recognition Concepts, is reaching beyond the Quarter Horse industry to do business with a number of other equine breed associations, has expand- ed to other agriculture-related venues and is working with other groups to provide awards for a number of schools, charita- ble and sporting events. In addi- tion to providing trophies for many state affiliates, ARC has expanded to include print ser- vices that consist of catalog and brochure printing, as well as banner and sign production. ARC has printed banners and signs for the National Reining Horse Association, National Reined Cow Horse Association, local insurance companies,
