is over and what an awesome one it was. Blast Off had record numbers with 144 in the Silver- ado Sweepstakes, which was won by Tara Tomson riding My Amigo Babe. There were so many outstanding runs for our first show of the year, it was amazing. Almost like the horses hadn’t been off all winter. Blast Off paid out a whopping $23,000. Plus there were Gist Buckles awarded to the 4 Divi- sion Champions based on their 4 run average. 1D winner was Joanne Fisher & Mr Cougarlicious 2D winner was Jessica Osgood & Ima Chexy Chic 3D winner was Jessica Banville/ & Tank “U” I’ma Dun 4D winner was Madison Evanit- ski & Brawnys Rusty Bar. Con- gratulations …..enjoy your buckles.

the show and my personal favourite, was that the first 4D on Saturday morning. It was won by Josiah Clingen on Sure Dash and the 2nd place finisher was Caleb Clingen on Heza Go For Sure. These are 2 brothers,
and we owe it not just to our executive and volunteers but to our contestants as well. It takes a great amount of effort to pre- pare for such an event whether you are managing it or prepar- ing your horses for it. Thank you all, it is greatly appreciated. A special highlight from
Carol Haydo outdid herself with a basket full of goodies for each VIP member and had created some great “homemade” break- fasts, lunches and snacks for VIP’s as well. On Sunday after- noon she also went through the stands and handed out goodie bags to a lot of our spectators!!! This event was first class

were just installed by Adam Harrison and Bill Fotheringham, made a huge difference in how efficient the barrels were being set up and in record time, we were averaging 51 horses per hour and with never having to look for a lost peg, no one was ever inconvenienced when it came their turn to run. Of course we have the best chute boss there is, Wayne Longfield, always making sure everyone is ready and offering encourage- ment to all. You’re the best Wayne !! There is also a sign being made with the Farmtek Arena Record holder, which will be displayed at REACH. Our first arena record holder is Caleb Clingen riding White Alibi, with a smoking 14.759. Congratulations Caleb for set- ting our first arena record!!!
