Remember that adjustment places are not advertised on the UCAS website so you’ll have to ring your chosen universities and let them know that you are looking for places through adjustment.


I missed my firm offer If you missed out on the required grades for your firm University choice then all is not lost.


It is in your best interest to call the University to find out if they are still willing to offer you a place. They may simply say yes or no or alternatively offer


you another course or a foundation year.


It is hard to get accepted but you can give yourself the best chance by selling yourself by using good AS Level grades or even mentioning extenuating circumstances or a possible re-mark of your papers.


If you come to a solution it is then up to you as to whether you accept the offer that they have put forward or move onto the options below.


I met my insurance offer If you are given a straight no


or you choose to turn down something like a foundation year from your firm choice then you can look to your insurance option on your UCAS form.


If you have made the grades for this option then you will be accepted by the University… congratulations! The acceptance letter will be on its way and you can start preparing for life at uni.
