THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX WITH A MORE UNUSUAL CHOICE OF DEGREE
Overall, we go to university with one goal in mind (aside from partying and making a great bunch of friends), and that’s to learn. We’re all looking for a degree that will let us get a job later, but degrees in Business, English Literature or I.T aren’t for everyone. Neither are the more creative courses like Art, Creative Writing or Film Studies. But, as these courses prove, there’s definitely a degree out there
for everyone, even if you want to study something that’s just a little bit weird and wonderful…
The University of Derby offers a module in Parapsychology as part of its second year psychology course: Instead of studying the human mind and how it works, how about livening up your second year of psychology with the
“Anomalistic Psychology and Parapsychology,” module? It looks into extrasensory perception, psychokinesis and experiences of
apparitions, which definitely sounds more interesting than reading over criminal case studies over and over again.
