We caught up with the band trusted by McBusted to warm up the crowd on their mammoth arena tour. EofE are an up-and-coming four piece rock outfit from the Black Country.


Q: How do you all know each other and when did you form? A: Dan – We formed in 2012. Luke and I knew each other from school and we knew Tom through and ex-


girlfriend. Nicky only joined recently when we were searching for drummers in February.


Q: When did you all know that you wanted to play music? A: Dan – When I was 15. I started playing guitar properly for a year and loved it, I could express myself properly when I played. That’s when I knew I wanted to do it professionally.


Luke – I started playing when I was 12 and played in different bands at school. I was in a cover band and really enjoyed it, but I realised I couldn’t make a career out of it. At 16 I decided to really go for it and take my music seriously.


Q: How was your tour in Scotland? A: Dan – We were there for four days. It was really good. We were playing proper rock

A Level results day is upon us and it’s an important day for some 300,000 students across the country. Today marks the end of one type of education and the start of another for many students. Well, that plus the excuse to celebrate like crazy.


We are of course talking about the anticipation, the excitement and the joy of finding out whether you have


made it into the University of your choice for 2014. A Level results envelopes are always slowly opened to the sound of loud cheers or sighs of disappointment all over the country.


The experience that A Level students go through every year; we’ve been there ourselves not too long ago and we also spoke to current freshers and A Level students to find out what they wanted to know about

students. Once you’ve spent 48 hours straight studying for an exam with somebody – something we genuinely did in third year – you get to know them in a way that you would usually only know your family.


I’ve seen some terrible things!


2) Sometimes, when the ultimate gains from studying law seem all too far off, remember there are some great shorter-term benefits you can reap right now.


Playing the victim with housemates/friends who study other subjects is a


prime example, and history of art students were my personal favourite targets. ‘4 hours of contact time per week? Pah! Try 30, and look at all this reading I have to do! Yes, I would love some conciliatory ice cream, thanks.’
