Ross McEwen is a Business & Strategy Executive at Unii.com. Ross studied Law at The University of Edinburgh before he went on to secure an internship at Unii.com after he had graduated. When his internship was up, Ross was offered the role of Business & Strategy Executive at Unii.com.


The interesting thing about Unii.com, is almost all of its employees are made up of students themselves - hiring


interns and fresh-out-of-university graduates


to fulfil high-level roles such as Business & Strategy Executive and Marketing Manager. This stems from


their belief that no one understands the student market than students themselves.


With their ‘student hats’ firmly on and with relevant university contacts, graduates and university interns make the most creative employees for the budding start-up. And the theory certainly does work - with Unii. com getting over 170,000 students signed up in less than a year, the site has already captured 10% of the UK student population since its launch.
