Dance Party! featuring a live performance by hip-hop singer Trina. EVENING UNDER THE STARS The 21st annual Evening Under


the Stars Gala to benefit AIDS As- sistance Program (AAP), features a star-studded performance by an ensemble from the First Ladies of Disco. Sched- uled to appear are Linda Clifford, France Joli, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Maxine Nightingale, Pamala Stanley, Anita Ward, Martha Wash and the ladies formerly of Chic: Alfa Anderson, Luci Martin and Norma Jean. This is the first time that this ensemble has performed together and also the first time in the last 20 years that the women of Chic have appeared on stage together. Honorees to be lauded during this year’s gala on Saturday, May 3 at the


O’Donnell Golf Club will be James Houston and Harold Matzner (Jeannette Rock- efeller Humanitarian Award), Dr. John Stansell (Gloria Greene Inspiration Award), Steve Kaufer (Joanna Jakway Community Hero Award) and Rabbi Sally Olins and Joyce Shampeny (Herb Lazenby Community Service Award). “Each of these indi- viduals exemplifies the meaning of giving and they have all been instrumental in helping to shape our organization and allow us to grow over the years,” says Mark Anton, CEO/Executive Director of AAP. “Without them, it would be nearly impos- sible to carry out our mission of supporting the nutritional needs of those living with HIV/AIDS in our community, we look forward to this special evening when we will get the chance to show our gratitude.” In addition to groovy tunes and inspiring honorees, attendees will enjoy silent
