GLASGOW CATHEDRAL FLOWER FESTIVAL Glasgow Cathedral 23 & 24 July Members from 89 flower clubs based all over Scotland are working together to stage a flower festival in Glasgow Cathedral to celebrate the Commonwealth Games on 23-24 July. Entitled ‘Roots, Shoots and Fruits’, the exhibits will cele- brate not only the Commonwealth countries but also the great sports people and the history of the Cathedral in flowers and craft work. www.safas.org.uk


TIN FOREST 24 July – 3 August Various venues There was once a wide, windswept place, near nowhere and close to forgotten, that was filled with all the things that no one wanted… As Glasgow prepares to welcome the world in 2014, The Tin Forest invites the people of Glasgow to retell the city’s story, to reimagine its future and to take part in the reinvention of the iconic South Rotunda into a remarka- ble performance space for theatre-makers and artists from all over the Commonwealth.
