San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter on Saturday, March 15 from 4 p.m. until midnight during the 19th Annual shamROCK festival—the largest outdoor St. Patrick’s party on the West Coast. Everyone’s a wee bit Irish on St. Patty’s Day, so don your green and join the fun with more than 20,000 other revel- ers, all there to rock their best jigs on the emerald streets of Downtown San Diego. Organizers are pulling out all the stops for this year’s
shamROCK celebration by creating the world’s largest 150- foot Irish Pub; erecting three stages and creating wondrous lighting extravaganzas, as they literally turn the streets green with more than 80,000 square feet of Astroturf. Dublin’s best pubs have nothing on this party, with rivers
of beer flowing and plenty of Jameson Irish Whiskey wait- ing to concoct your favorite St. Patrick’s Day libations. And folks, keep your eyes peeled—you might catch sight of Old Ireland’s fabled dancing fairies and prancing leprechauns of lore…who’s to say that pot o’gold isn’t real? Guaranteed to once again to “ROCK” the streets with endless live entertainment, This St. Patrick’s extravaganza is sure to rouse the clogger in you. The Field Irish Stage will go Celtic with countless live bands performing Irish rock, punk rock and other Irish favorites. Not to miss performances by The Shamrockers, The Fooks, Quel Bordel, The Lexington Field and Down’s Family. The Pint Stage will feature hot DJs with the sexiest sounds to trance you into an Irish haze. The final stage will be located next to the epic 150-foot Irish pub and will play host to the Irish River Dancers and more of your favorite local DJs. Tickets to this Irish bash are just $30 in advance and $45 on
the day of the event, with advance VIP tickets on sale for $65 or $85 at the door. Your shamROCK wristband will allow you in-and-out privileges, as well as free cover and includes food and drink specials at dozens of the Gaslamp Quarter’s and East Village’s hottest nightclubs and restaurants.
