The Alan Walden & Chris Hicks Christmas Jam The Hangar, Macon, Georgia December 21, 2013

He’s been a star player in the Marshall

Tucker Band for many years now, but if you want to see Chris Hicks really shine, check out one of his con- certs. Case in point: The Second Annual Christmas Jam. The event brought Chris and his band back to his hometown of Macon for an out- standing night of southern rock, South- ern soul, and blues. The band in- cludes: Joe “Boogie” Simmons on keys; Rick Ussery on guitar; Eric Wynn on bass; and Leroy Wilson on drums. Local favorite Sista Rae Rae jammed out on harp on several tunes as well. that Chris wrote is “Dog Eat Dog World.” It’s become a staple of the Marshall Tucker shows and on this night he and his band nearly burned down the Hangar with it. And speak- ing of Marshall Tucker, Chris pulled out the
