Shimano has continued to bring new innovative technology to the rod and reel department, especially when it comes to big game fishing -- whether you are battling monster sturgeon on the Fraser River, hanging on to a super sonic tuna, big marlin or fun- filled dorado down south. While many anglers struggle casting a lever drag reel, Shimano broke the mold with the Talica series by designing a two-speed reel that can easily cast live baits such as anchovies and sardines. With High Efficiency Gearing (HEG), a lightweight aluminum cold-forged spool, high-grade greaseless ball bearings – the technology and innovation anglers have come to expect from Shimano – the Talica reels are all about castability, cranking power, and with the drag that can handle three or four line class sizes than you would normally use in a reel of its size.


Shimano’s Terez series has a rod for nearly every type of saltwater action. The line-up of conventional, spinning, stand-up, slick-butt roller and ring guide models are constructed with responsive TC4 blanks, a process that wraps a double inner horizontal layer of advanced, dynamic T-glass with an inner and outer spiral of high modulus graphite. Anglers will quickly notice the small diameter blank design, and when
